Catching up on Madigan ~ June 2007

Madigan went to Las Vegas!

Madigan crawling around after her bath. The marble tile was very interesting to explore and easy to crawl on. Madigan had fun pulling out the hair dryer and towels stored below the sink.

Madigan playing with her toys. She had a drawer in the dresser with her toys in it and she loved to pull them out and put them back in.

Madigan in the BIG bath tub. The tub was so big that Kirsten could stretch out and soak and only have her head above water. Madi loves bath time and splashes and giggles the whole time.

Madigan in the hotel room enjoying the A/C. We stayed at the Red Rocks Resort Casino outside of Las Vegas. It was a beautiful place.

Swimming with mommy. Madigan loved the water and got a nice tan. Mom got sunburned, not fun at all.

Grandma Carol and Grandpa Richard in Everett, WA. They moved to Green Valley, AZ the day after this photo was taken.

Madigan showing off her crawling skills to Grandma Carol. She learned how to crawl the day before and was having fun with her new mobility.

The B&B on Whidbey Island that we stayed at.

Madigan and daddy on the ferry to Whidbey Island, braving the winds.

Before our travels to Seattle to see the grandparents off. Madigan had fun standing on the bed with daddy and playing with the dogs (9 months old).

April 2007

Madi tries to help Kirsten get done with her report and presentation about chimpanzees. She wonders why the report isn't about HER!

Mom was buried in school work so this month is light on the photos!

Finishing up March 2007

Madi thinks it is fun to chew on the showerhead. Problem is, there is water shooting out of it and she gags. But that doesn't stop her.

Cold blast of water, must be time to get out...

...and suck on our toes. YUMMY!

Luke kisses Madi. Luke was a foster dog Kirsten took care of. He is named for Luke from Star Wars because the force is with him - he was attacked by 3 dogs and had over 200 stitches put in to close the wounds. He now lives with his forever family in Portland and is a very happy dog. Did we mention he is good with kids?

Madi sitting in her crib one morning just being silly. Madi loves to greet the morning with her giggles and other silly sounds. She is 6 months old.

More March 2007

Mommy was picture happy this month *lol*

Madi feeding herself pancakes. She thought they were quite yummy.

Madi battled with the spoon and carrots and it looks like she lost the battle. Madi had her own personal food fight you could say.

Ah the fun of feeding yourself.

Madi loves water! She took a shower with Christopher and thoroughly enjoyed herself.

Madi went to the zoo today with Kirsten's moms group. She had fun seeing the new exhibits and all the animals. It was a cold day so she and Kirsten did not stay very long. They plan to go back soon!

Moving on through March 2007

Madi loves to be in the bath tub though the look on her face would lead you to think otherwise. She loves playing in the water and playing with her toys.

Today was Madi's first day in the "big tub." Christopher pulled her float through the water and she thought that was a lot of fun. She stayed in the tub a long time today.

Madi is learning how to feed herself. She likes to take the spoon and copy what Kirsten does with the other spoon. Madi loves playing with her spoons. Sometimes she gets them in her mouth the correct way and sometimes she gets them in her mouth whatever way she can. She wants to grow up so fast.

Madi is so proud of her accomplishments.

March 2007

Good Morning Madi! Welcome to a new day.

Madi enjoys breakfast in bed. What a luxurious life she lives.

Madi sat by herself today. She was very proud of her accomplishment. She is 5 months and 1 week old.

February 2007 Finished

Madi sits on the coach and is surprised by the dog telling her about his day.

You don't say...interesting...

Madi is all dressed up to go to school with the big kids. She attended Pacific University this spring with Kirsten and took a class in Psychology. She is now well versed in chimpanzees. Madi is 5 months old.

Madi likes sitting on Grandpa Richard's shoulders. She had fun playing with his ears.

Grandpa Richard and Grandma Carol came from Seattle to visit and Madi enjoyed spending time with them.

Grandma Carol loves Madi so much!

Grandpa Richard and Madi had a very nice visit and hope to do it again soon.

February 2007

Madi knows to cheer for the University of Oregon DUCKS. An Oregon State Beaver walked by and she gave him this look.

Madi laughed when Christopher chased the Beaver away. She is 4 months old.

Madi enjoys sitting in her Bumbo seat in the TV room with Christopher. They like to watch WWE and can't wait for NASCAR to start.

Madi loves sitting on the bed and playing with her toys, especially if they make noises and taste good.

Doesn't Madi look cute in the outfit Auntie Alison bought her?

Madi and Christopher like playing on the Playstation. Here Madi is showing Christopher one of the secret move combinations.

Who can resist a cute kid? Madi is 3 months old.

Did you miss me? I know, it has been a long time. Well, Kirsten, Christopher, and Madigan have been busy with life and this little spot on the WWW has fallen by the wayside. So sit back and enjoy the updates. Mainly a lot of photos and a little bit of writing. We promise we'll be better about this in the future. Watch out world, here comes MADI!

Update on Da Baby

Madigan had her 4 month well check today. She weighs 14 pounds 4 ounces. She measures 26.25 inches. Her weight is in the 70th percentile for her age and her height is off the chart (105th percentile we guessed). Overall she is happy and healthy. She received one oral vaccine and 4 shots. She cried when the nurse put on the band-aids and that was it.

This morning Madigan woke up at 5am and ate. Kirsten laid her back down in her crib for a short nap. Kirsten went in to wake her at 6:30am and could not find her. Madigan normally is laid in her crib with her head at the 12 o'clock position. Kirsten could not find her because her head was at the 7 o'clock position. She had managed to turn herself around 180 degrees. How we do not know.

Kirsten, Christopher, and Madigan went to dinner with their friends Sean, Jennifer, and Macie on Saturday at McMenamins Grand Lodge. Macie is 2 weeks younger than Madigan. They originally had the same due date. It was interesting to compare Madigan and Macie. Madigan is so long while Macie is so chubby. They both smile alot and love to suck on their hands and fingers. Someday they will be play friends.

Madigan had a touch of a cold last week. Christopher had a cold the week before and we were just waiting for her to come down with it. She sounds a bit congested but that is about it.

Madigan has found her voice and loves to screech, scream, squeal, and make other high pitched noises. The cat has taken to hiding in the garage and the dogs want to go outside to escape her sounds.

It appears that Madigan's eyes are turning green. We cannot tell if they will be a true green or a hazel shade. Her hair is still reddish but her eyelashes are black. Her eyebrows are the same color as her hair and sparse.

Madigan loves to smile and enjoys being out and about. On Wednesday she begins class with Kirsten at Pacific University. Hopefully that agrees with her and she can continue to go.

That's all for now.

Fun around the home

Madigan is telling dad how to give her a bath just like mom.

Madigan loves her bathes. She now tries to empty the tub before she is done. Water ends up on the mirror, in the trash can, on the floor, in the sink, on the counter, on the toilet lid, and on Kirsten or Christopher.

Madigan standing in her Exersaucer. She likes to be able to see what is going on around her.
